The Department of Sanskrit is one of the  popular departments of the College. The department offers B.A Programme course in Sanskrit. Since its inception, it takes pride in the diverse expertise and rich experience of its faculty members in the varied disciplines of Sanskrit and Indian intellectual tradition. The relevance of studying Sanskrit has increased in recent times and can offer students many avenues of social, intellectual and professional growth.

The Sanskrit curriculum is impactful, well-structured, and relevant. Papers range from Sanskrit grammar, Sanskrit poetics, Sanskrit Poetry, Sanskrit Prose, Sanskrit Drama, Philosophy, Ayurveda, Yoga and Jyotisha etc. After completing graduation in Sanskrit, there are numerous career opportunities and options available to students. The department also organizes seminars, talks, lecture series, workshops, panel discussions, Sanskrit speaking classes, add-on courses on different aspects of ancient knowledge etc. throughout the year for the intellectual development of the students.
